Meet Michelle
A graduate of Okanagan Valley College of Massage Therapy’s 3-year Medical Massage Therapy program, Michelle founded A Healing Path Massage in Fort St John, BC (2006). Her family relocated to Vancouver Island in 2010. She opened massage therapy clinics in Duncan, BC and Ladysmith, BC in May 2010. She centralized her practice to Ladysmith in 2012.
Michelle began to practice yoga in 2001. She wanted to become skillful at being strong and relaxed. Her practice inspired her to train as a teacher, and she graduated from Trinity Yoga Centre’s 200 hour yoga teacher training program in 2006. Michelle designed and taught prenatal, restorative, beginning and intermediate level yoga and meditation courses at her Fort St. John, BC studio, Anahata Yoga (2006-2008). Michelle is currently studying the relationship of meditation practices on the brain plasticity and physical health. She is particularly interested in the works of John Kabat-Zinn, Kristin Neff and Kelly McGonigal. Before training as a massage therapist, Michelle spent 13 years as a consultant to multi-national organizations. She lead project teams of up to 30 people. Some team members thrived and others struggled to survive. That experience inspired Michelle to bring the concepts of compassion, physcial health and mental resilience to her massage therapy practice. Whether you are: - a business professional who wants to regain your creativity,
- an athlete who wants to remain injury-free and at the top of your game,
- or someone who’s been diagonsed with a medical condition or recovering from surgery,
